GLC April Newsletter

GLC’s student writers and staff editors have been very busy writing our April newsletter.  This month, feature stories include the recent Science Fair, March Activity Day, the Gyro Bonspiel and basketball.  Readers can also take a sneak peak at our preparations for the upcoming spring production, “Canada 150″.  Look for a copy at various businesses in the Red Lake area or read it online here.

2017-2018 Before/After School Programs

As KPDSB prepares for the 2017-2018 school year, we wanted to reach out to our families to find out your needs for before and after school programs next school year. In order to gather this information, we have created a short online survey for you. Please visit this link.

The survey is open to families who have children in Kindergarten to Grade 5 in the 2016-2017 school year, as well as families with children who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. Any information you can provide is helpful, even if you do not plan to enroll your child in before or after school programs.

Paper copies of the survey are also available at the main office.

GLC January Newsletter

Our January newsletter (student written and student produced) is now available!  Our young writers have brought GLC experiences to you through articles and photos.  This month, we’ve featured stories on learning that occurs during Literacy, Math, Science and Art.  In addition to these academic features, we’ve also included articles highlighting the Mother-Son dance, curling, skiing and “Everything Fitz”.  Check it out online at this link or read it at various businesses in the Red Lake area.  Again, we’d like to thank our students and staff for their work in bringing this to publication.

With first-hand accounts from other parents, their children, and our educators, you’ll have the chance to see inside our classrooms. For a detailed breakdown of what our kindergarten programs and our schools are all about, follow the links.
